Lyric's Story

Hello, my name is Lyric Nash. I am nonverbal and I have Autism. Mommy and Daddy found a place in Missouri that trains dogs for people with Autism and I know that would help me a bunch. I know that the dog (my new brother or sister) would be there for me every time I couldn't control myself or run without looking where I am going. I have a hard time socially and my new dog could help me cope easier when I have meltdowns and with my surroundings. Please help if you can. My new friend is waiting and I thank you a whole bunch!

UPDATE MARCH 8, 2021: Due to overwhelming support from friends, family and community members Lyric has met her original goal of raising $10,000! We have decided to increase the goal to $15,000 with all additional funds raised going towards others who are in need of assistance through Retrieving Freedom.

Retrieving Freedom does not require recipients to fundraise or pay in order to receive a dog, however, many choose to fundraise to give back to the organization.
